Target Audience
This symposium is directed primarily to medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, researchers, pharmacists, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants interested in new developments for treatment of solid tumors such as lung cancer, head & neck cancers, breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, and colorectal cancer. No specific skill or knowledge other than a basic training in oncology is required for successful participation in this activity. Fellows are also invited to attend.
Statement of Need/Program Overview
This program is intended to facilitate interaction among medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners interested in development of novel therapeutics for treatment of solid tumors such as lung, head & neck cancers, breast cancer, and gastrointestinal/colorectal cancers. This symposium will present data of most promising emerging agents currently in development for the treatment. There will be in-depth discussion of targeted therapies for solid tumors.
