Target Audience
This symposium is directed primarily to medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pharmacists, registered nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners interested in new developments for treatment of lung cancer and head & neck cancer. No specific skill or knowledge other than a basic training in oncology is required for successful participation in this activity. Fellows are also invited to attend.
Statement of Need/Program Overview
This symposium is intended to provide paradigm shift in the treatment options for lung cancer and head & neck cancer. In addition to chemotherapy and targeted therapy, this symposium will focus on individualized therapy based on emerging agents currently in development and symptom control and management of toxicity issues. The format will include didactic lectures from known thought leaders, question and answer sessions, case report presentation and ample opportunity for participant interaction with faculty. In-depth discussion of novel agents at various stages of clinical development for lung cancer and head & neck cancer will be given significant focus.
